It's a lengthy text.

Regardless of the Blazers' plans for next year, Scoot and Sharpe must be starters throughout the season. I don't consider Ant as one of the long-term plans for the Blazers. And I don't think the return will be significant. However, he is not a reserve. Therefore, it's better for him to become a starter for another team.

I have watched all the Blazers games, but will Ant's value increase further? His defense is consistently really bad. In the playoffs, he will be constantly targeted, and at least if we are the enemy, we will definitely do that. If that happens, it's questionable whether his shooting can be maximized even though he has a good shot. Scoot is also quite poor off the ball, and his screen navigation is also poor. However, he is a positionless defender and even guarded Paolo. He is not a target for matchup hunting. Also, his FT% (81.9) is excellent, and his 3P% has been 35.0% since the ASB, and 38.1% in the last 10 games.

I prefer to pick Cody with our own pick and Missi with the Dubs' pick. Sarr is also a good option, but wings are more crucial. A cunning elite finisher at 6-8 with a 7-3 wingspan is what I like. I think his intelligence is underrated, and he doesn't make bad shot selections. He will mark a very good efficiency as a wing. Just like his brother. Missi seems a bit like Timelord. He's truly a switchable 7-footer. If his wingspan is indeed 7-6, that's impressive. He has strong hands for catching, and his FT has been 74.2% since February.

In the long run, I prefer the lineup of Scoot/Sharpe/Cody/Grant/Missi. Ayton is a bit odd here. If Missi doesn't break out, Ayton might just be there for his physical tools. However, his hands are really poor. I've never seen such a poor screen setter as him. Missi is excellent at the moment. Grant is entering his 30s, but his positional value is high unlike Ant's. Keep a 6-8, 40% shooter. Also, in the early days of the Joker era, 32-year-old Millsap spent four years there. It would be best to establish a player to replace him from among Toumani, Jabari, Kris, and Rayan. Let's also stock up on assets so we can pull out struggling wings from other teams when needed.

If the Magic expose their shooting deficiency in the playoffs and get eliminated, they will undoubtedly turn their attention to Ant. The Blazers will likely alleviate their guard logjam and possibly sell Ant at the highest price. I'd prioritize a team with better defense over offense. The Magic are a prime example of this. Ant is undoubtedly a fantastic player and teammate, but it's becoming increasingly challenging to put non-defensive, undersized players like him on the floor.
