Potato's Postseason Power Rankings + FA/Draft Grades! (Teams 1-16)

1. Chiefs As long as we have MaGOAT we will be in contention

FA: A-

-Losing Sneed is unfortunate, especially for what I believe was a bag of chips. But Chris Jones was always the higher priority a true game wrecker. We also signed Hollywood Brown is capable of being low caliber WR1 with Rice and Kelce.

Draft: A-

-We got our GUY! No one in the league wanted us to get Worthy and we got our X-Factor. Mahomes was starving for weapons and now we got Hollywood and Worthy who I think will be even better than Rice day 1. We also really needed a LT and getting Suamatia was nice. I think he’s big and athletic, idk if he’s true franchise LT tho maybe more suited at LG when Thuney leaves and that’s okay. Jaden Hicks is a big steal and we needed a safety. Really shocked we didn't value CB which we need after Sneed leaving. Hadden may develop as a CB not sure yet prolly a special teams guy year 1. I’ve always wanted a top TE prospect to prepare for Kelce being gone… Wiley is not that.

2. Eagles:

FA: A

-They neglected LB for so long and finally addressed it with the best LB in the FA and one of the best in the league White. They they bring back standout safety and slot CGJ after he spent a year away hurt in Detroit. Huff was also a top FA on the market marking a transitional period for the Eagles already stacked OL moving from a 3-4 scheme to Vic Fangio’s preferred 4-3 scheme along with E. Brandon Graham. This meant OLB Reddick was moved as he no longer fit. They also get one of the best WR3s in the league in Parker Oh and how can we forget the signing of Sequon who ofc if healthy adds a completely new element of danger to this year (tho I would have just resigned Swift as he went for way less and imo is more reliable and close to the same talent).

Draft: A+

-Absolutely robbed the league again in the draft! Quiyon is arguably the steal of the draft.. my biggest critique is I thought Terrion Arnold was a better scheme fit for Fangio’s system as a man-to-man guy who can press. Quinyon is an elite zone guy who’s weakness is press coverage. But then Philly also gets DeJean who is gadget DB who I projects better as a safety. Getting one year to learn from CJ Gardner-Johnson is huge. I don;t think he’ll be amazing year 1 but could break out as soon as next year. Hunt is perfect fit a boom or bust Edge. Then they got all these steals… Johnny Wilson, Trotter Jr, and even McHahon

—————————

3. Ravens:

FA: C

-Did the Ravens get worse? Yes it’s damn near impossible to get better on paper after a season like they had. But they got an impact player in Henry so hopefully they don’t run the ball only 10 times in a playoff game. I’m not a Madubuike as in that much money but if I was a Raven fan I prolly wouldn’t be saying that so hopefully he can keep it up.

Draft: A-

-I didn’t think CB was really that big of need for the Ravens. So very mixed feelings when they get two steals on Nate Wiggins and TJ Tampa. I was also much lower on two players than most who had Wiggins going top 20 and Tampa in the 2nd round! But I have full confidence that both will be fantastic cause its the Ravens. I’m low on the Washington tackles so Rosengarten went a little high imo but I still had a day 2 grade on him. Issac is a steal. I don’t like Devontez Walker but its not like I thought they reached on him who is a need. Leary is interesting I don’t hate it. Really can’t knock them.

—————————

4. 49ers:

FA: D-

-Releasing one of the best D lineman in the league then having to trade for his worse replacement is an L. Losing out on Kendricks whom they almost had also hurts. Floyd and Gross-Matos is nice but imo Young is better with more potential who they also traded for mid-season.

Draft: C-

-Massive reach for Pearsall. Pearsall is an elite slot WR prospect… that’s not round 1 worthy… So many good players who were needs that they passed on for him. Are they trading Ayuik? It’s scary. I like Renardo Green as a flexible DB who will prolly play CB. Puni is a great pickup, I prefer Beebee pver Puni but Beebee was gone by then. Puni will make a good RG which is where they should have been looking for OL help. Guerendo is sick… makes the sneaky UDFA pickup of Schrader (my fav UDFA) look odd seeing as they have CMC. I don’t know a lot of Mustapha but I’ve heard good things.

5. Texans:

FA: A+

-WOW! Let's start with the big one. Two 2nds and a 5th for Diggs. A legit Superstar and top 10 WR to pair with CJ Stroud who is already a top 10 QB after one year and Collins and Dell a legit WR1-2 punch on top of bring back one of the best vet TEs in the league. I'm kind of a Joe Mixon hater and was hoping the Texans would have gotten a better RB like Henry or Barkley but they acquired the RB almost for free. Again 9M is a lot for RB who I don't think is top 10 but it makes this team better without a doubt this is the advantage of a rookie QB this good. Moving to the other side of the ball they legit got the best Edge rusher on the market in Danielle Hunter moving to the opposite side of Star Will Anderson Jr. Then they bolster an already decent defense with Autry an aging vet E with production (11.5 sacks), AL-Shazair to anchor the run defense and has connections with Ryans. They lost start slot CB Nelson but have replaced him with depth at the CB position. King and Bryant are vets who can play slot. Whereas Okudah and CJ Henderson are first-round busts who could still have upside as dominant CB2s in the right scheme. The Texans also did not neglect special teams by bring back Fairban one of the most accurate kickers last year and the best punter in the league over the past two seasons in Townsend.

Draft: C+

-The Vikings trade was weird as it had the Texans give up their FRP this year and acquire a 2nd round pick next year. Ofc those 2nds were then traded for Diggs so it feels like one step back two steps forward. The main takeaway is they got a Superstar and still have next year's FRP. I mean no steals. They don’t have many glaring needs that they needed to fiil. Lassiter, Fisher, and Bullock went around where they should have. Not a big Stover guy but as a backup TE its not terrible. I like how they drafted a RB not too familiar with Jawhar Jordan. Other than that several guys I don’t have a grade one.

6. Packers:

FA: D

-Jacobs makes no sense. Aaron Jones at worst is just as good as Jacobs and just as injury-prone. Nixon back is nice but they really need to address needs in the draft and if they’re trying to win the division or SB this year? Its a poor FA.

Draft: A

-Jordan Morgan is a nice prospect... but a first-rounder? I'm not sure. His arms are too short for T and projects more as a G. Bullard is something I have been calling for 6 months. Eddrigen Cooper is a steal the best LB in the class. Lloyd was a very underrated Rb in the class. I love me some Hopper from Mizzou too. Tho two LBs when they do have other needs is questionable. Then they get a massive massive steal in Kalen King who is undoubtedly a day 2 guy who they got in round 7. Monk was a sneaky need and Pratt was also a steal round 7. The ione pick I don't like is Evan Williams

7. Lions:

FA: C

-For all that cap and a win-now team they were so conservative. I liked the Reader pickup more then others. A run-stuffing vet when healthy. Lions got their WR3. They also stack the OL even more.

Draft: A

-Let’s start with the obvious… Arnold is arguably CB1 and undeniably the steal of the draft. He’s a perfect fit in the scheme as well… Rakestraw Jr. is also a perfect scheme fit. Two skinny, aggressive, press coverage CBs. But did they need both? They have Carlton Davis III, Amik Robertson, and Emmanuel Mosesely. Then Branch in the slot a lot too. I think their could be a lot of pass interference calls and holding by these rookies at first but great upside. Outside of that Mahagony and Wingo are absolute steals owning the 6th round!

8. Bengals: FA: B

-Moving off Mixon is weird tho I do think he’s overrated and Moss is going to get the job done. I hope they continue to keep Tee Higgins I live the all-in move. Replacing Reader was a must, Rankins is worse but Readwr is aging and wasn’t healthy. Any TE is better than what they had and they got like 3. The glaring weakness is depth but overall a solid job by Cincinnati.

Draft: B

-The current Tee Higgins and Trey Hendrickson rumors are screwing with me. May really bite them in the ass not taking a guy like BTJ or Verse or Chop or X-Worthy… but if they can retain everyone its a pretty good draft. I LOVE MIms…. but he’s so raw I wanted him to go to a team that would really develop their OL like GB, Philly, or Dallas… Bengals are one of the worst at developing OL so its really tough to grade. Jenkins was a need and fit. Burton is an underrated WR. TE. All and CB. Newton were steals imo. Very decent draft.

9. Jets:

FA: A

-Jets brought in two big-name needs in Mike Will and Tyron Smith… the issue being both are massively injury prone. This team has the QB, the weapons, and the defense. I’m a believer in Salah. Can they put it all together?

Draft: D+

-This is a win-now squad. So I’m not sure why they are taking so many raw prospects. I don’t think Fashanu is NFL-ready. I don’t like his mobility, He’s not going to be able to win on pass protection like he did in the big 10 and he’s not the elite run blocker either. Then Corley is also a project that Rodgers will not trust. But then… BANG Braelon Allen my number 1 RB in the draft! Love him what a steal round 4. Getting a backup QB isn’t the worst idea seems worse since I didn’t like the first two picks tho.

10. Jags:

FA: B+

-Armstead is sneaky sneaky good able to play inside and out. Ridley doesn’t hurt imo. He got a massive bag and Gabe Davis is more the profile of WR they need with Kirk as the guy. Was it a lot of money? IMO no. Davis has haters and I’m not one of them. Does he really go ghost or does the Josh Allen roller coaster make him go ghost? I’ve seen him kill in the playoffs and other games. Other sneaky moves include Morse, Savage, Slye, and Duvernah one of the better returners in the league with a weird new kickoff rule.

Draft: B-

-I love the BTJ pickup. I’m not concerned that they didn’t go CB. This is the make-or-break year for Lawrence imo. Can he be Peyton Manning he was heralded to be? Or is he just Jared Goff or Matt Ryan? They build out the DL and OL too. I like taking the Kicker Little in the 6th. I’m not familiar with either of the DBS they drafted which is unfortunate better prospects were on the table.

11. Dolphins:

FA: A

-I think this was a really good FA from the Phins. They overly value Edge and CB which is fine imo. Getting Shaq Barrett and Fuller will only help. The OL takes a hit and the run defense. But this team is going to live and die by the West Coast offense.

Draft: B-

-They didn’t address need in FA or the Draft which is scary. They need help in the IOL and IDL. Instead, they get multiple edges, a RB, and WR… I mean I like Jaylen Wright and LOVE Chop Robinson but idk how these moves take this team to the next level in the near future. Paul was the only fit and need stealing him round 22 he really saves their grade.

12. Steelers:

FA: A-

-Upgrade at QB? Check. Stack the defense? Check. Going for Fields after Wilson is weird but they got a steal. How do you resign Fields long term if Wilson balls out or you just never see him touch the field? Losing Diontae sucks they need more weapons to be legit but it’s not a championship or bust season in the slightest.

Draft: A

-Really good draft imo. Steelers get their C and LT which should really boost this OL. Roman Wilson is a perfect WR fit which they really needed. Then Payton Wilson at the bottom of the 3rd was an absolute steal! He's arguably LB1 wouldn't have been surprised if someone reached on him round 1.

13. Browns:

FA: B+

-Massively underrated FA. Bringing Z Smith back one of the best FAs out there was huge. They fixed the depth problems at RB and QB. But if this team is ever actually going to go anywhere Watson needs to wake the fuck up.

Draft: C-

-Anytime you don’t have a FRP it kinda makes your draft look like shit. I knew Browns would be going DL round 2… But its a weak E class and then there was a flash and grab of all the DTs round 2. Which means they had to settle on Hall Jr. who I don’t think will be good. ZInter is a nice snag. The rest are pretty much nobodies. Lackluster draft.

14. Cowboys:

FA: F

-All just minor moves by the Cowboys not going after anything new but focusing on positions where they have or commonly have injuries, such as LB and CB compensating for Diggs and Vander Esch.

Draft: A

-I got really scared for the Cowboys who I thought the Chiefs leapfrogged for Tyler Guyton. Turns out it was for X-Worthy. Guyton is a great fit he’s a good mover and they desperately need a LT. I am very high on Beebee who is one of the best true Gs on the draft. Liafu has the swag and talent they needed a lILB. Carson is good CB depth. Kneeland should start day 1. Its a weak E class which is why this guy is going round 2 but can’t knock the Cowboys on that.

15. Falcons:

FA: B

-Cousins to ATL! Along with some weapons. They’re going for the division and they should! Outside of QB they hardly had any money to work with. I liked the couple extra weapons like Mooney. I also like the Cousins deal that they can cut him as early as in after 2 seasons.

Draft: C+

-No one has valued the QB position more then the Falcons just have. I mean we all know how questionable the Penix pick is. Trice is a really great steal I think he's better player then the Washington Tackles who went way earlier. They stock up on DL. One went a little early but the other went a little late. They didn't need another RB at all but I love JD Bertrand in the 5th.

16. Rams:

FA: A

-Rams got sneaky sneaky signings like Kam Curl and Tre White and Jonah Williams. Jimmy G is the big one. All these moves point to going all in on the chip which they should. A true boom or bust year. They had to make a decision post Donald’s retirement. Do you still go all in with Stafford or tank? I’m happy they picked one side instead of being idle.

Draft: B-

-Sitting and waiting on Verse, W. I'm not the biggest Verse guy I thought he's go a little past the 20 mark tho and with Latu and Murphy II taken I can't knock it. Anything not good about Verse was just overshadowed by taken Fiske who has an even greater upside at an even greater position of need. But on the flipside, they traded a massive amount for Fiske who is a boom or bust prospect and they don't have a lot of picks Corum went a little high but he's a good RB... idk I felt like they had bigger needs. Kinchens and Jackson ar eboth steals tho, they'll both contriubute year 1. Rams also grab the best kicker in the class, super underrated move. Then to round it out with some OL depth, great draft!
