2024 NBA Draft post-it note (May 6): Ryan Dunn, Nique Clifford, Cam Christie

Gonna start calling these short articles on my scouting updates "post-it notes." I think it's a reasonable title. They'll be kinda for any thoughts I have, especially when I finish my scouting of a certain player.

Just did my eval on Nique Clifford:

I was REALLY surprised with this guy. When I was reading his profile and his numbers, I was really unsure what kind of player I was about to see in the film. He's older, and the stats aren't the cleanest, but his play had me SHOCKED. I love this guy. He's one of my x-factors in this class. Although I won't say he has "star" potential per se, he has basically everything I would wanna see in a big guard/wing. His jumpshot is a bit of a question, but he has electrifying flashes of everything else. The passing, the defense, the physical versatility. I like him a lot.

Old notes on Ryan Dunn:

Ryan Dunn moves his body like Paul George, kinda. I have basically zero reason to think he could be anywhere near that good offensively, but bro.... the movement, the build, the physicality is sooooooo tempting (pause). He's a super defender as well. Arguably the best pure defender in the class, I'd say.

Cam Christie is an odd fellow:

It's been a while since I've evaluated a guy who had such poor fundamentals. I'm not hating on him either it's just the truth. He obvs has the "tools" to succeed with his lanky build, but bruh. His handle is loose, he smokes lay ups... a lot, a LOT to work on offensively. Defensively though, I'd be disgusted if someone with his build COULDN'T defend. Will continue to watch him, but I feel he is on the extreme end of prospects lol.

Anyway yeah. Most of my thoughts. Thanks for reading.
